London Fashion Week with Joanne Stoker British Shoes
When we recieved a last minute call from the fabulous British shoe designer Joanne Stoker to incorporate some Violet and Wren pieces into her frankly stunning SS16 London Fashion Week presentation we leapt at the chance to get involved!
Joanne's retro 1980's presentation focussed on the idea of collectives of strong, empowered women, complete with fierce attitude with references to Memphis design, Yaakov Agam and architectural notes from Luis Barragan. Staged in the Made.com showroom in Soho and accompanied by powerful performances by House of Voga to a set by DJ Blonde Ambition, and inspiring illustrations by the talented Josh Bristow it was a fantastic blend of performance, art, interior, botanicals and of course - shoes! Infamous fashion Blogger Susie Bubble even made an appearance!
We absolutely love the pieces, fun, fresh and quirky - the coveted pom pom pink heels are an absolute favourite - so playful!
The Violet and Wren pieces featured above are from the SS16 collection "Face to the Sun" due for release Jan 2016.
