Lets go Outside...
Here at Violet & Wren we have long believed that loungewear deserves a life outside the bedroom, and with the ever growing trend for cocktail pyjamas and the 90’s slip dress having a huge revival we have teamed up with fashion and lifestyle blogger Lorna Luxe and fellow vlogger and instagrammer Eimear Varian Barry to show how pieces from our Autumn/ Winter capsule can be worn with your everyday wardrobe for some fabulous street style.
We met Lorna and Eimear, in the depths of Belgravia, bloggers shoot paradise, for a much needed coffee. With Lorna showing off her enviable legs in our Orla short, and Eimear teaming our pyjama shirt with a leather jacket, the girls show exactly how the pieces can transition from bedroom chic to coffee shop cool. Chunky knitwear and leather add an edge to the pieces, taking them out of the context of the bedroom, and giving them a new life as daywear in their own right.
Coffee consumed, we headed off to give our slip and pyjamas a makeover. Lorna layered a boxy Gestuz pin stripe boyfriend blazer over our Odessa slip. We loved the mixing of the Masculine silhouette over the soft and feminine slip, that could easily transition from business meeting to cocktails to bed – no outfit change required!
Eimear worked the pyjama style, dressing up the Kew pyjama pant and Jena Pyjama Shirt with a pair of sky heels. A brave look for daytime, but when so many of us long for an indulgent pyjama day, this is the perfect excuse – and no need to sacrifice your style!!!
For the final look, Lorna and Eimear really showcased the Lacquered Rose print. Lorna worked the Pyjama shirt with black skinny jeans and Louboutin boots, Eimear layered the Eden Kimono over a black bodycon dress with knee high boots – the perfect look for a night out with the girls.
A huge thank you to Lorna Luxe and Eimear Varian Barry for bringing the collection to life, and to photographer Victoria Metaxas for the beautiful images. We hope you enjoyed seeing the streetwear styling of loungewear and have been inspired by the idea of adding more longevity and wear to your loungewear wardrobe.
