A summers day in June...

On a beautifully sunny day in June 2015 we travelled to a secret location in the English Countryside to shoot our SS16 collection , Face to the Sun.

Through winding English woodland and hidden at the bottom of a secluded driveway we found paradise!  Our dream house - an original 1970's retreat.   Exuding 70's californian charm, and surrounded by a stunning array of tropical palms, the villa was brimming with original decor, furniture and the owners beautiful art collection.  This was the perfect location to capture the essence of the collection.

Based upon the memoirs of a glamorous jet-set woman and inspired by our muse, Bianca Jagger, Face to the Sun is inspired by travels to destinations from yesteryear with each print referencing an exotic time and place.

From the romantic Amalfi coastline and heady lemon groves of Sicily to crystal clear Caribbean seas and steamy, exotic island retreats, each story within the collection tells of a visual and sensual memory.

The amazing private pool was the perfect location to shoot our Sicilian Tulip - the acid bright citrus tone sitting beautiful against the turquoise mosaic floor, and the beautiful summer sun rays reflecting from the crystal clear water as our model Aimee floated around the poolside in our gauzy, sheer chiffon Maxi Robe.

The sunken lounge with authentic, custom leather sofas was idea lounging territory and the envy of the team!  With dark wood panelling, and Italian marble flooring, the combination of texture and colour was divine.

Our amazing photographic design team loves to use multimedia to capture the essence of our shoots, and we loved the use of authentic 70's polaroid as a way of contrasting against the digital imagery we have grown so used to.

Keeping 24 hour dressing as the focus of the shoot, we styled the collection with swimwear, daywear and evening wear, as well as keeping true to traditional loungewear, to highlight the versatility of the collection.

A huge thank you to all our collaborators for making such an amazing shoot - model Aimee Foy, photographer Brad Stephens at Reef Design and Hair and Make up Artist Sarah Varney.
