The Makings of a shoot...

Back in 2015, on a crisp December morning and laden with our freshly pressed samples, props and plants,  we headed across London to a riverside studio to start shooting our AW16 Campaign,  Midnight with Lulu.

Several latte's later, and with the sun (finally) pouring through the studio's enormous windows onto our pale grey backdrop,  we created a set design which reflected the 1920's Orientalism inspirations behind the collection in a modern and contemporary way. Dark wooden floorboards were layered with coloured sheepskin and luxurious silk rugs for lashings of texture. Simple but boldly painted, vintage furniture and of course, a healthy dose of fresh and succulent botanicals including rich green tropical leaves and bold pops of magenta orchids, set the scene for our evocative collection.

Our beautiful collection was styled by our co-founders Louise and Helen, using pieces from their own wardrobes and amazing vintage finds, including the stunning blue 1960's coat and the gorgeous statement tassel earrings.  Our shoot team for the day included our fabulous model,  the gorgeous Clea Martin,  the super talented MUA Carolanne Armstrong who captured the essence of deco glamour so beautifully with Clea's hair and makeup, and of course the super lovely and talented photographer Polly Hanrahan who captured the essence of the collection perfectly!  And last in the process, but by no means least, our post production team and graphic designer Hannah Mackenzie who composed the images to create our AW16 lookbook.

Thank you all for your wonderful work and support, without you all, non of this would be possible!

Thank you also to Karndean UK who supplied the beautiful and dramatic flooring.
